Kaluza-Klien Generalized Ghost Dark Energy Model in a Scalar-Tensor Theory of Gravitation

Abstract


In this work, we solve the Brans-Dicke (Phys. Rev. 124, 925 1961) field equations for higher dimensional Kaluza-Klien space-time.We consider generalized ghost dark energy as a source of dark energy that can explain the cosmic acceleration of the Universe. We have further established a correspondence between the generalized ghost dark energy and the polytropic gas model of dark energy. We discuss the physical and geometrical properties of our model which are found to be consistent with recent observation.
